I was without a car for about six months over a year ago, and though it was never a terrible hardship since we still had DH's car most of that time and other relatives and neighbors to help out with rides in a pinch. It...I let my step daughter use my car for a year +. It was a big change for me not to have a car and not being able to do as I pleased go where I want. Believe me Marcy it is something I never want to do again. I can't imagine being car-less and having the pressures of being a single mother too!
