I've signed up for K.T. Hanna's #writemotivation goal check month.  Yes, I'm the strange one of the group who does not twitter. You might possibly be able to lure me in to twitter, but you must realize that I'm the type who sometimes does not even check her cell phone for several days, much to the dismay of her children.  No, my cell phone is not attached to my hip, and even though I do try to always have it close at hand, I just don't always hear it ring or buzz, and I cannot abide the thought of an excessively loud ring tone.  Anyway, I realize that I will be missing out on much of the motivation, but I do want to be held accountable to the weekly Monday Blog Post about my writing goal.  My writing goal has been the same for months now, but as yet I have not fully achieved it:

My official goal for the month of May 2012:

Write at least 1 hour daily Monday thru Saturday.

So far today I have written an email letter to my family, does that count?  It didn't take a whole hour, and it definitely won't fit into my current WIP, so no, it does not count.  Let me ammend my official goal:

Write/work on my current WIP for at least 1 hour daily Monday thru Saturday.

There.  Now it's time to leave for the day job, so I'd better carve out an hour this evening for writing on my current WIP!  Good luck to everyone with your writing goals!

  2. Hi & welcome to #writemotivation, Marcy! You should definitely cave into Twitter, you're not getting the full benefit of the challenge without it ;)

Good luck with your goal, I'm sure you can do it!

  3. Hey Marcy, so glad you're in #writemotivation too! I envy your ability to leave the damn cell phone alone (and Twitter too, LOL).

I'm already following you here, but feel free to drop by my blog or send an email if you want to connect outside Twitter.

    Hugs,

    Rach

  4. I was slow to jump on the twitter band wagon, but I've quickly become a tad addicted to it. Although I'm glad to find someone else who doesn't pay their phone much attention either. I hardly ever hear mine ring (no loud ring tones for me either!) and that's fine with me. :-)

Wishing you a very productive #writemotivation month,
    Jocelyn
