Books in Every Child's Hand

Occasionally  I find a worthy cause that I feel inclined to share here on Creation and Compassion.

A cousin just make me aware of this good cause:  Books in Every Child's Hand, a fund-raising effort on GoFundMe.com.  The fundraiser was set up by a middle school teacher of students with special needs.  During the summer many of these students do not have access to good books to practice their reading skills.  The goal is to raise enough money to give these 200 students 3 books each, 1 per month, at their current lexile level and that is of interest to them.  At $10 per book, the goal is to raise $6,000.  If the goal is not reached, the money will be used to provide as many books as possible.
